The Leica S2 is a full-frame DSLR crafted from solid machined aluminum alloy, designed to endure harsh conditions. Its shutter can reportedly withstand up to 150,000 actuations, while the mirror box and viewfinder are each good for over 100,000 actuations – plenty of use even for frequent photographers.
However, age and wear can eventually take its toll on any camera so it’s important to properly clean and store the Leica S2 when not in use.
